Description

This heart-breaking yet inspiring story is dedicated to the courageous, pioneering and faithful women of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa’s Woman’s Guild, and especially to those principled and brave few from the Tumutumu Mission in Nyeri County, Kenya. Founded in 1908, Tumutumu Mission became a haven for girls and women who found protection, an opportunity to learn, and stalwart champions of their cause, within its walls.
Determined to stand against female circumcision and other brutal atrocities which befell their sisters, this selfless fellowship of sometimes unrecognised martyrs were willing to die for the values, ethics and morals they lived by.
In this beautiful and poignant book, the author honours these women of vision and tells an enlightening and encouraging story which is truly close to his heart, all to the Glory of God.
For as with many things which improve with time, our lives, if we choose to live as guided by the Holy Spirit, can set an excellent example for others and for the world.
