The Pearl of Great Worth addresses the false teachings of the prosperity gospel and points people toward true, biblical
prosperity. The book unpacks the over-arching narrative of Scripture through 35 Bible stories for adults. The guide also has academic notes to help the storyteller understand the background discourse of each story, key biblical term definitions, and character sketches. The historical and biblical background section includes artist renderings of biblical objects, pictures and maps. Each story guide includes bibliographical materials for further study.
The stories were selected by a team of pastors, lay leaders, trainers, and women’s ministry leaders in West Africa. The oral approach allows Jesus followers to strike up spiritual conversations anytime, anywhere, in a non-threatening manner. Listeners are able to interact with Scripture in a way that is engaging, memorable, and life-transforming.
